Welcome to Sew Unique - a website designed to accomplish 3 goals: to continue to pursue what I enjoy doing - that being sewing and crafting and creating, the second, to share what I enjoy doing with others and, third, to help you, the customer, create that one of a kind item you have been or may be looking for, at reasonable prices.  I have sewn since my first daughter was born in 1978, (two more daughters followed) and basically taught myself how to sew. I made many of my girls clothing and along the way, picked up some customers looking for some type of sewing to be done. Eventually, I started doing wedding dresses, prom dresses, bridesmaids and regular custom sewing in the tiny community where I lived at the time. In fact, one family I sewed for had 4 girls and I did everyone of their weddings! About 6 years ago I started decorating miniature 5 1/2 inch birdhouses, starting from the plain pine birdhouse and creating one of a kind gifts for doctors, lawyers, teachers, seamstresses - they can be designed for any special occasion, holiday or occupation and start at $15.00. Recently, a friend of my oldest daughter asked if I would sew some doll clothes for her and she was very happy with them and encouraged me try my luck with a web site and sell my doll clothes and all else that I do - on the internet. I've started with 11.5 inch doll clothes, but I can sew doll dresses for any size doll and, with a picture, can make a near replica of a dress you may have in mind.
